Healing the Poor
If you disclose your,(sadaqah) charitable expenditures, they are good, but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you, and He will remove from you some of your misdeeds [thereby], And Allah with what you do, is [fully] Acquainted.
(Surah Al- Baqarah 2-Ayat 271)
The recent target that Al-Madad’s welfare society achieved is about these four locations.
On 26 & 27 December 2020, a team of Al-Madad welfare society has surveyed these areas. Can you imagine how much they are in a miserable state? The people of these areas are living without the basic facilities. There is no hospital if luckily, very few hospitals are there, they are at a very long distance and have zero facilities, no paramedics, and medicines. The lives of these poor people are on the edge of death. In these dark conditions, the Al-Madad welfare society played a role for these people like a Beacon of life.
Al-Madad welfare society arranged four medical camps with the support of UBL-Ameen Islamic Banking. More than 1200 families are rescued from diseases that can be deadlier if the treatments are not given on time. A team of doctors, paramedics, and staff members were being busy all day long providing free treatments and medicines for Flu, Fever, Hypertension, Waterborne diseases, Skin infection, Diarrhea, Viral diseases, Eyes, Ear infection disease, and Spectacles were given during the medical camps. It’s hard to provide such facilities in these slum areas, but once you decided, nothing can stop you. So as the Al- Madad welfare society did. They faced all the hurdles but their enthusiasm remained the same.
We are very thankful to Mr. Tanveer Zaman Khan, Head of UBL- Ameen Islamic Banking for being a part of us.
