Colours- Symbol of life and Happiness
Colour is a very noticeable attribute of the world around us. Colour is a way children observe and categorize what they see. These very recognizable characteristics encourage children to define and organize the diverse world around them. These first teachings in preschool and kindergarten are basics that every child needs to know before he or she learns the other basics of reading and writing.
The meaning of colour is also symbolic. Teachers introduce the children to colours around them. They will see the seasonal colours, colours in the environment, colours in food, colours of the sea, sky and water.? As compared to city life, village children still lack such important activity. During Almadad Team?s visit in different villages the children didn?t know about colouring activity. They were completely blank and surprised. Almadad team initially conducted this activity in Primary school of Samangoth district Mirpurkhas. Proper card sheets and colour pencil were provided to the students? along with pencil box and the team members explained to the children how to use colour pencils. Everyone excitingly participated in the whole activity. Initially they were unaware on how to use the things provided but gradually they learnt and were happy. They encouraged other classmates as well. Surely, a little step from our side can change the life of many innocent children.
