Al-Madad Welfare Society continues its mission to provide free and accessible healthcare to underserved communities across rural Sindh through medical camps and OPD services in Mirpurkhas and Umerkot.
Since 2025, Al-Madad has also been supporting Gynaecology – Labour Room services, at Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital, Karachi, helping improve the care and environment available to mothers and needy patients. In addition to supporting the renovation, Al-Madad Welfare Society has also provided essential medical equipment for the Gynaecology Labour Room to help strengthen the quality and availability of maternity care.
As part of this ongoing commitment, the Board of Al-Madad Welfare Society has approved the renovation of the entire Gynae Labour Room at Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital, Karachi, excluding the High Dependency Unit (HDU). The project covers the Child Nursery, Delivery Cubicles, Patients’ Rooms, Doctor’s Room, Passage, Washrooms, and Reception Area.
Renovation work began in the first week of September 2026 and is expected to be completed within three to four months. The improvements include new flooring, plumbing, electrical, and wooden works to create a cleaner, safer, and more hygienic environment.
This milestone is made possible through the generous support of our donors and well-wishers. Together, we are working to ensure that more mothers from poor and middle-income families can receive maternity care in an environment of dignity, comfort, and hygiene.
Every mother deserves safe and dignified care. Together, we can make a difference.
