Al-Madad Welfare Society has always been committed to supporting marginalized communities, particularly in desert areas and low-income white-collar neighborhoods of Karachi, during the holy month of Ramadan. Every year, with the generous support of kind-hearted donors, Al-Madad provides essential food rations to the most deserving families, ensuring they are able to fulfill their basic food needs during this blessed time.
For the upcoming Ramadan in 2025, Al-Madad plans to distribute food packages to approximately 10,000 people across Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, and Karachi. Each food ration, which will support a family for the entire month of Ramadan, costs Rs. 5,250.
The ration package includes essential food items such as:
- Flour, Sugar, Qarshi Jam-e-Shirin, Cooking Oil, Dates, Pulses, Rice, Salt, Spices
This initiative aims to ease the hardships faced by these families and provide them with the dignity of not having to worry about where their next meal will come from.
