Malnutrition is an indefinite phrase that exhibits some or all nutritional and nourishing food components that are essential for human fitness. Nourishment is instructed for all but school ages are the healthy growing stage of childhood who require sufficient attention in terms of their health.
“Eat of what is lawful and wholesome on the earth. (Al-Baqarah 2:168)
Food is the fundamental need of human kind’s existence whereas malnutrition is the main factor in the death of children in Pakistan. According to a report, more than half of the casualties happened due to malnutrition in Pakistan (Sindh BOS, 2014). Sindh province has one of the highest rates of stunted and undernourished children. District Tharparkar has also noted the highest percentage of child malnutrition in current years. School-going children in such areas are regularly challenged with tough domestic responsibilities; they tread long distances to school, often remain repeatedly on empty stomachs, and have a hard school curriculum to learn. Hence, their dietary level is severely endangered.
I requested the nation’s leaders, the corporate sector, the contributors, and the more fortunate in society, to help break this terrible cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and ill-health and make the children supporting partners of the nation in the future.
